Trip Overview

The Mardi Himal Trek is a stunning and adventurous 6-day trek located in the Annapurna Region of Nepal. The trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and continues through lush forests of Rhododendron and along the ridgelines above the valleys of the Annapurnas. You will reach Mardi Himal Base Camp with breathtaking views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. This trek will provide you with a peaceful and less crowded atmosphere than other treks while combining adventure with nature, culture, and unbelievable scenery of the Himalayas.

Day 01 :

Drive Kathmandu – Pokhara

Start your day with an early drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (Nepal's most picturesque lakeside city), taking in spectacular scenery (rivers and terraced hills), on the way there. After arriving, you have the evening free to explore Phewa Lake as you wish. Driving time: 6-7 hours; Overnight: Pokhara

Day 02 :

Drive from Pokhara to Kande and begin trekking

After breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic drive from Pokhara to Kande (1 hour), and then start your first day of trekking through beautiful forests of rhododendron trees, oak trees, and pine trees. There is a gradual ascent, but you can also see views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre along the trek. Drive time: 1 hour ; Trek time: 6-7 hours; Overnight: Forest Camp

Day 03 :

Trek from Forest Camp to High Camp

As you make your way from Forest Camp to High Camp, you will trek into an alpine environment with less tree cover and more expansive views. The rdges that you trek along will provide great views of the nearby mountains. This day is going to be long and the total distance traveled will be more rugged than yesterday, so stay focused on getting to your destination, which is High Camp. Trek time: 5-6 hours; Overnight: High Camp

Day 04 :

High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp and Middle Camp

You will get up early on this day to trek from High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp. This is going to be a great opportunity for you to see Machhapuchhre (sometimes referred to as "Fishtail Mountain"), and to take a lot of great photos! Once satisfied with your day at Mardi Himal Base Camp, begin trekking back to Middle Camp.

Trek time: 6-7 hours; Overnight: Middle Camp

Day 05 :

Middle Camp to Sidding Village and drive back to Pokhara

After leaving Middle Camp, you will walk down through forests to Sidding Village, which is an authentic Gurung village. While there, you will have the chance to learn more about their culture, and experience the rural mountain life. After your time in Sidding Village, you will then drive back to Pokhara. Trek time: 4-5 hours; Drive time: 2-3 hours; Overnight: Pokhara

Day 06 :

Drive Pokhara – Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu with scenic countryside views. Trip concludes on arrival.
