Trip Overview

The 5 Day Gosainkunda Trek is a Fun, Short Trekking Experience in Nepal’s Langtang Region. Your Trek will be centered around the Holly Gosainkunda Lake at approximately 4,380 metres high and encompass views of mountains, forests, and rich cultural Experiences. You will begin your journey from Kathmandu with a drive to Dhunche and will continue Trekking via traditional villages through beautiful countryside to see the sacred lake before heading back to Kathmandu through Nepal’s picturesque countryside and spiritual quality.

Day 01 :

Drive to Dhunche from Kathmandu

Start early morning with a scenic drive through the Kathmandu valley to Dhunche, the entrance to Langtang National Park. Enjoy beautiful scenery of mountain roads, rivers and rural hillside villages. Driving distance: 6 -8 hrs. Overnight stay: Dhunche.

Day 02 :

Trek from Dhunche to Sing Gompa (Chandanbari)

After breakfast begin your trek, where you will hike through forests of Oak, Rhododendron and Pine trees. The trek is gradual most of the way up to the Sing Gompa monastery, where you will be visiting a local cheese factory. Hiking distance: 4 - 5 hrs. Overnight stay: Sing Gompa.

Day 03 :

Trek from Sing Gompa to the Sacred Lake of Gosainkunda

Today you will have the opportunity to see some of Nepal's most spectacular mountain scenery, as you hike to the sacred lake of Gosainkunda located at approximately 4380m in elevation on the Lauribina peak. Hiking distance: 5 - 6 hrs. Overnight stay: Gosainkunda.

Day 04 :

Trek from Gosainkunda Lake to Sing Gompa

Temperatures are colder this morning due to the elevation change from yesterday's portion of your trip. Challenge yourself on your way back down from Gosainkunda Lake, as you will have approximately 4 - 5 hours of hiking back down (via the same route) to return to Sing Gompa. Hiking distance: 4 - 5 hrs. Overnight stay: Sing Gompa.

Day 05 :

Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche, then Drive Back to Kathmandu

After a hearty breakfast, it's time to end your trek and head back home to your family! After approximately 3 - 4 hours of hiking from Sing Gompa to Dhunche we will load up the van or bus and return to Kathmandu with approximately 6 - 8 hours of travel time.
