Trip Overview
On your classic 13-day Himalayan adventure through the Khumbu region of Nepal, via the Everest base camp and kalapathar trek, you will start with a scenic flight to lukla and then trek through both sherpa villages, monasteries, massive mountain scenery and also go to the base camp and up kalapathar to watch the sun rise with views of the everest mountain and other high peaks around you.

Itinerary
Welcome to Kathmandu - Upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport, you will be met by one of our team members and driven to your hotel.
A short scenic morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Begin to trek to Phakding through traditional villages & lush forested land.
You will cross many suspension bridges while you walk along the Dudh Kosi River. This is the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park - the park has the tallest mountain in the world at 8848m (29,893ft). The entire park covers over 1000 sq. km (386 sq. mi) of land and is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. The ability to see so much old culture combined with the amazing scenery will hold your attention while trekking to Namche, the capital of the Sherpa people.
You will spend the day acclimatising in Namche. You will go on short hikes in and around Namche and will return to your hotel for the night.
Continuing on this journey, you will have a day of trekking with incredible panoramic views of the Himalayas on your way to Tengboche. You will visit the famous Tengboche Monastery.
Your trek will continue through forested areas, where you will descend to the Imja River before you make your way gradually up to Dingboche.
You will spend the day acclimatising in Dingboche. On your acclimatisation day, you will go on short hikes in and around Dingboche to help your body acclimatise to the current elevation, as well as enjoy the great views from there.
This day will see you trekking from Dingboche to Lobuche, where you will be able to see various memorials for climbers who have given their lives to achieve the summit of Mt. Everest, and will offer incredible views of both Nuptse and Lhotse.
Today you will leave Lobuche and trek to Gorakshep. From Gorakshep you will hike to Everest Base Camp and return to your hotel for the night.
Very early this morning, you will start your trek from Gorakshep to Kalapathar, which is the best viewpoint in the Khumbu region, to hopefully see the fantastic sunrise views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse,e and the surrounding peaks. Following this, you will descend back down to Pheriche.
You will walk on familiar paths and walk through familiar villages on your way down. Trek: 6–7 hours | You will stay the night at Namche Bazaar.
You will trek back to Lukla for the final time. And celebrate with the rest of your trekking crew. Trek: 6–7 hours | You will spend the night at Lukla.
In the morning, you will board a plane to Kathmandu and be transported back to your hotel. The trip will conclude here.

If you are in good physical shape, yes! Although having prior trekking experience can be helpful, having a good acclimatization period will allow you to do well on the trek.
March through May and September through November provide the best weather conditions to see the mountains.
The Everest Base Camp trek is moderately challenging because of the elevation, long days of walking, and the ever-changing weather conditions.
